Biointensive Two Day Workshop.
This event is held in our gardens at ROEBUCK FARM on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th November, from 9am to 5pm. What to expect Where To Begin - making decisions about how to lay out your garden Garden Design & Planning – making best use of your aspect Garden Bed Preparation – tools and techniques for improving soil structure Composting – cool pile, construction, turning and management, compost application Growing Seedlings – seed propagation for healthy seedlings Season Extension – using a glasshouse and/or cloche Management – crop rotations, moisture management, effective maintenance Seed Saving – open pollinated seeds, selection What to know Allow 20 minutes from town for driving & please be early. Use our off road parking and observe 4WD access sign. Consider the weather and dress accordingly. Bring a plate of food to share for lunch and your own drink. Tea and coffee are provided. Bring a pen and a notebook. Seeds for sale, no eftpos. Helpful to have read ‘The Sustainable Vegetable Garden’ by John Jeavons of Ecology Action.
